About

• Born in Melbourne, Australia on Valentine's Day.
• Celebrated the bicentenary of Australia with an international food feast in Miss Ikenger's 2nd Grade classroom. Bought my First music album on cassette: "Temple of Low Men" by Crowded House.
• Was pushed off a playground ledge by Nasso Paliakos and ended up with a broken arm. Watched the Tienanmen Square protests and the fall of the Berlin wall on TV.
• Buried my deceased pet budgerigar in a melancholy, tearful backyard ceremony.
• Was given a snapshot camera and took pictures with it on a school-organized trip to China. On return I was told by my 8th Grade Chinese teacher Mr Dickson to become a photographer.
• Was mugged in Melbourne and had my camera stolen. Found the stolen camera at the exact store I'd chosen to buy a new camera.
• Worked a part-time job photographing couples imitating Leonardo DiCaprio and Kate Winslet in a Titanic-themed restaurant (doing the "I'm flying" scene).
• Photographed my friend's father performing brain surgery to U2 backing music. Graduated with a B.A. in photography from RMIT University in Melbourne.
• Left Australia and moved to New York. Began MFA studies at Parsons School of Design.
• Dropped out of the MFA program after one year to accept a full-time job as a photographer's assistant to Craig McDean, after approaching him for work on the street.
• Transferred to work full-time for Steven Meisel.
• Looked for Mr Dickson's contact information online to send a thank you email but couldn't find anything.
• Went out on my own as a photographer.
• Traveled through every continent (except Antarctica) for 2 years, camera in hand.
• Living and working in New York city.
